Grand Pine – Fail Me (Video Premiere)

Gentle, atmospheric bliss. That’s my introduction to Grand Pines debut single ‘Fail Me’. Delicate vocals are paired with sparse percussion and sublime strings. Today we’re beyond thrilled to be premiering the equally stunning video.

Lead singer Guy Perkins explains: Mike and I filmed the film clip over two very, very cold days in the Cathedral Ranges at a friends property. Our friends, Callum Bodman and Rosie Warren, were kind enough to lend us their acting talents and together we attempted to translate our ideas onto film. The concept was to have the audience introduced to this broken couple and follow their journey of how sometimes life (or in this case, mysterious smoke) can lead people to reconnect and rekindle something that was otherwise lost. We’re pretty happy with the end result visually and hope that it hasn’t lost the story aspect.

The band launch ‘Fail Me’ this Thursday November 2nd at The Wesley Anne. Support comes from RAT!hammock and Wolf and Willow. Doors at 8pm, tickets $10. More details here.
